I served as the Program Specialist for the Schools Partners Program from 2006 through 2008. In this role, I partnered small-to-mid size businesses with DPS schools. In the first year, I partnered 35 businesses with 40 schools. I also supported marketing and communications activities to promote the program.

In 2016 my life changed forever. My husband was instantly killed in a car accident. My husband was a Hip-Hop artist, poet, and radio DJ in Houston, TX. To pay homage to him, I developed several projects for the community to honor his life and work. I created an affirmation book and executive produced a short documentary film about Houston's 3rd Ward where it was shown to more than 1000 community members at Houston's Match Theater.
I partnered with the Houston Chronicle to promote these projects.

I served as Communications and Public Affairs Associate for Kempe. In this role, I supported multiple projects and wrote stories to elevate the mission to prevent and treat childhood abuse and neglect.
